President Donald Trump will convene a rare full Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday as his administration confronts a pivotal moment in negotiations with Iran.
All Cabinet members are expected to attend the gathering, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, according to reports first published by the New York Post and later confirmed by Fox News.
The meeting comes as the White House weighs its next move in high-stakes talks with Tehran aimed at securing a broader agreement amid an increasingly fragile ceasefire.
Trump has signaled in recent days that negotiators may be closing in on a breakthrough. Iranian officials, however, have publicly disputed suggestions that a final agreement is near.
Camp David has long served as a venue for major national security decisions and sensitive diplomatic discussions.
Trump used the presidential retreat repeatedly during his first term, hosting leaders and senior administration officials for strategy sessions on some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
The location also carries recent significance for the administration’s Iran policy.
On June 8, 2025, Trump convened Cabinet members and top advisers at Camp David for discussions focused on Iran and Gaza. Just weeks later, on June 22, 2025, he ordered U.S. strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, marking one of the most consequential military actions of his presidency.
According to a White House official, Wednesday’s agenda will include discussions on “recent successes of the administration, including economy and small business wins, Task Force to Eliminate Fraud highlights, and foreign policy updates.”
But Iran is expected to dominate the backdrop.
Trump has repeatedly emphasized that diplomacy remains his preferred path while warning that military options remain available if negotiations fail. Administration officials have echoed that message, projecting confidence publicly while continuing to prepare for multiple contingencies behind the scenes.
The Camp David summit also follows fresh tensions in the region after U.S. forces carried out limited strikes Monday that officials described as defensive actions.
As negotiations enter what could be a decisive stretch, the gathering underscores the importance the White House is placing on the outcome.
