Reality check for Democrats.
CNN’s Senior Data Analyst Harry Enten shared polling data this week that should have Democrats worried about their chances to take back the House in the midterms.
“It ain’t over, yet — especially with the redistricting,” Enten said. “You would have thought that the Democrats’ lead would expand on the generic Congressional ballot — it didn’t happen. In March, Democrats were up by six points. Look at this now — Democrats are up by 3 points … within the margin or error.”
“With all the talk of Donald Trump’s unpopularity, the fact is Republicans very much remain in the game when it comes to the Congressional midterms,” Enten said.
Enten says Democrats could be in “big-time trouble” if they underperform the polling by even a few points.
