STRAIT FIRE: Trump Warns Iran To Sign Deal ‘FAST’ After Clash in Hormuz

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.07.26

President Donald Trump declared Thursday that U.S. forces “incinerated” Iranian drones and destroyed multiple attack boats after American destroyers came under fire in the Strait of Hormuz.

The dramatic confrontation marked one of the most intense direct clashes yet between U.S. and Iranian forces during the ongoing standoff in the Persian Gulf.

According to U.S. Central Command, the Navy carried out self-defense strikes after three American destroyers were attacked while transiting the strategic waterway.

Trump detailed the confrontation in a fiery TRUTH Social post that painted the operation as a decisive American victory.

“Three World Class American Destroyers just transited, very successfully, out of the Strait of Hormuz, under fire,” Trump wrote.

“There was no damage done to the three Destroyers, but great damage was done to the Iranian attackers,” he added.

Trump said Iranian forces launched missiles, drones and swarming small boats against the American warships, but claimed the attacks were crushed almost immediately.

“They were completely destroyed along with numerous small boats, which are being used to take the place of their fully decapitated Navy,” Trump wrote.

“These boats went to the bottom of the Sea, quickly and efficiently. Missiles were shot at our Destroyers, and were easily knocked down. Likewise, drones came, and were incinerated while in the air,” he continued.

Then came the line already exploding across social media.

“They dropped ever so beautifully down to the Ocean, very much like a butterfly dropping to its grave!” Trump said.

The president used the clash to ramp up pressure on Tehran as negotiations remain unresolved.

“A normal Country would have allowed these Destroyers to pass, but Iran is not a normal Country,” Trump wrote.

“They are led by LUNATICS, and if they had the chance to use a Nuclear Weapon, they would do it, without question,” he added.

Trump then issued a direct warning that future retaliation would be even more severe if Iran refuses to finalize a deal with Washington.

“But they’ll never have that opportunity and, just like we knocked them out again today, we’ll knock them out a lot harder, and a lot more violently, in the future, if they don’t get their Deal signed, FAST!” Trump wrote.

The president also said the destroyers would now return to enforcing what he called a naval blockade in the region.

“Our three Destroyers, with their wonderful Crews, will now rejoin our Naval Blockade, which is truly a ‘Wall of Steel,’” he said.
