Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, are already parents to son Nicholas, known as “Niko,” who was born in July 2024.
The White House press secretary is currently on maternity leave and is expected to return to the briefing room later this year.
Leavitt has become one of the most visible faces of President Donald Trump’s administration, frequently sparring with reporters during high-profile briefings on issues ranging from immigration and the economy to the war with Iran.
Her announcement quickly drew congratulations online from administration officials, conservative commentators, and supporters celebrating the growing Trump White House family.
