Hollywood’s anti-Trump rhetoric is once again under fire after Mark Hamill posted an image of President Donald Trump in a grave alongside the caption: “If Only.”
The viral post came just days after Hamill appeared alongside former President Barack Obama in Chicago to help promote Obama’s presidential library project.
In the post shared on Bluesky, Hamill wrote that Trump should live “long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes.”
“Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore,” Hamill added, using the hashtag “#don_TheCON.”

The post quickly spread across social media, where critics accused the actor of contributing to an increasingly toxic political climate surrounding Trump.

The backlash comes at a particularly tense moment following the recent assassination attempt targeting the president at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Critics online linked Hamill’s comments to a broader pattern of left-wing entertainers making inflammatory remarks about Trump and his supporters.
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel also faced scrutiny last week after repeatedly joking about Trump dying before defending the remarks on-air and criticizing First Lady Melania Trump for condemning the rhetoric.
The controversy intensified after several celebrities, including January Jones and Mia Farrow, questioned whether the White House Correspondents’ Dinner assassination attempt had been staged.
Hamill has long been one of Trump’s most outspoken celebrity critics.
The actor previously said he felt “really ashamed” Americans elected Trump twice and earlier drew criticism for joking about the president’s injury after Trump survived being shot during a campaign rally in Butler.
