A CNN California governor primary debate turned into a televised food fight Tuesday night after Democratic candidate Katie Porter lashed out at Republican Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco.
But Porter — and the Democrats — came away looking worse for wear.
“I can’t believe that on a stage with 30 minutes of interrupting and bickering and name calling and shouting and disrespect for everyone up here who’s stepping into public service, that anyone wants to talk about my temperament,” Porter said, referencing the many clips circulating of her losing her temper.
“You are actually interrupting them, too. I don’t know why you want to act like you weren’t,” Bianco said.
“Oh, cowboy up, cupcake,” Porter shot back.
“Steve and I sat here smiling at each other because we’re just watching you all prove to everyone they can’t vote for a Democrat,” Bianco said.
