WHAT A CROCK: Two-Faced Jasmine Crockett Shares Conflicting Messages Following WHCA Dinner Shooter Scare

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.28.26

Outgoing Rep. Jasmine Crockett is facing scrutiny after posting what appeared to be conflicting reactions to the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The Texas Democrat initially struck a unifying tone in the aftermath of the chaos that unfolded Saturday night at the Washington Hilton.

“The political violence is unacceptable and must stop,” Crockett wrote on her official social media accounts. “I am grateful that everyone attending tonight’s WHCD is safe,” she added.

Authorities say 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of California stormed a security checkpoint outside the dinner armed with multiple weapons, including a shotgun, handgun, and knives, before opening fire.

A Secret Service agent was struck in the chest but survived thanks to a bulletproof vest, and Allen was quickly subdued and taken into custody.

Federal prosecutors have since charged Allen with attempting to assassinate the president, along with multiple firearms-related felonies.

President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, members of Congress and media figures were all in attendance when the attack unfolded, prompting a rapid evacuation as law enforcement secured the scene.

But Crockett’s tone shifted on a separate Threads account tied to her campaign.

“Has there ever been a president have this many close ‘attempts’ on their life?” she wrote.

“Maybe it’s lax gun laws, maybe it’s lack of mental health funding, or maybe it’s fake… who knows,” the post continued.
