According to a New York Post report, newly surfaced video footage appears to show a man resembling Alex Pretti spitting toward federal immigration agents and damaging the taillights of a black SUV during a chaotic confrontation in Minneapolis days before Pretti was fatally shot by federal agents.
The BBC said it verified the footage, which was filmed during a Jan. 13 protest. The clip—first reported by The News Movement—shows a man yelling as agents drive away, then kicking the rear of the vehicle, prompting officers to stop and move in as the crowd surges around them.
In the video, the man is taken to the ground by multiple agents as the scene escalates.
CNN has separately reported that Pretti suffered a broken rib in an earlier confrontation with federal officers about a week before his death, citing sources familiar with the incident.
