The official White House Christmas portrait is out.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are dressed in black, standing hand in hand before glowing Christmas trees and classic holiday décor inside the White House.
The president keeps a straight face.
“Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump,” the White House posted alongside the portrait.
The first couple is spending the holidays at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, after hosting a marathon 29 Christmas parties for guests on the White House’s main floor.
Melania Trump, a former fashion model, once again took the lead on the holiday decorations. This year’s theme, “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” features 120 pounds of gingerbread constructions spread throughout the executive mansion.
The White House’s many Christmas trees were trimmed in classic white lights, ribbons, and simple round ornaments in red, white, and blue.
Decorations also included ornamental butterflies, a nod to the first lady’s ongoing push for a federal overhaul to support foster children as they transition to adulthood.
