At the United Nations on Tuesday, President Trump dispensed with pleasantries and went straight for the jugular. From the marble rostrum of the General Assembly, he cast a withering eye on the world’s capitals and their leaders’ immigration policies.
“Your countries are going to hell,” he thundered, a line that seemed to hang in the chamber like a warning bell.
He painted the scene starkly: prisons swollen with “so-called asylum seekers who repaid kindness — and that’s what they did, they repaid kindness with crime.”
“It’s time to end the failed experiment of open borders,” he declared, as if closing the curtain on an era that had long overstayed its welcome.
The words were not just an argument but an indictment.
