'HE WAS WITH JESUS': Mentor Describes Frantically Driving Charlie Kirk to Hospital [WATCH]

Frank Turek was just feet away when Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University….

In a new podcast episode, Turek recalled the Sept. 10 shooting and the frantic rush to the hospital, where doctors pronounced the 31-year-old dead.

Kirk had first reached out to Turek years earlier, seeking mentorship in Christian apologetics. That bond deepened over time, Turek said in the episode, “The Greatness of Charlie Kirk: An Eyewitness Account of His Life and Martyrdom.”

Their relationship grew so close, Turek added, that he came to think of Kirk as a son.

Turek also spoke with Fox News’ Sean Hannity Thursday night about Kirk’s final moments after being shot in Utah.

“The two gentlemen who were on each side of Charlie did heroic work trying to stop the bleeding. I was trying to stop it as well, but they were much calmer than I was. He was looking right back at me — right through me — they were dilated. They were fixed. I later learned from the surgeon that Charlie died instantly,” Turek said.

“The only comfort was that he did not suffer,” Turek added.

“The injury was catastrophic … Charlie died instantly. He was with Jesus.”
