HANNITY MONOLOGUE: Trump Puts Canada's Carney in His Place During Oval Meet, 'We Don't Really Need Them' [WATCH]

Hannity says Trump told Carney what he’s needed to hear “for years.”

During Tuesday night’s Hannity, Fox News host Sean Hannity reacted to President Trump’s Oval Office sitdown with newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Hannity praised Trump for correctly pointing out that the U.S. doesn’t need Canada for anything — and our northern neighbors have been taking advantage of us for years.

“Here’s a simple truth to our friends in Canada — and as the president did reiterate many times today, they are our friends — Canada absolutely needs the United States for their very survival,” Hannity said. “And as the President pointed out, right to Carney’s face, we don’t really need them for anything.”

Trump told Carney during the meeting that America doesn’t want Canadian cars, steel — anything. “Why are we subsidizing Canada $200 billion dollars a year?” Trump said.

“President Trump is bluntly telling Canada what they’ve needed to hear for years,” Hannity said. “They have, sadly, ripped us off unfairly. They don’t make their required payments to NATO. They rely on us for their national defense. They put restrictions, tariffs, and other taxes on American-made products while enjoying free access to our markets.”

“Their leaders have often complained about everything we do while hurting our great American businesses and industries,” Hannity continued, before giving a quick history lesson on new PM Mark Carney.
