While discussing rape and abortion rights on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Tuesday, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear appeared to wish harm on Ohio Senator and vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s family.

Gov. Beshear spoke Monday night at the Democratic National Convention, praising the Harris campaign its plan to stop abortion bans following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
In an interview on MSNBC Tuesday morning, Behsear falsely criticized Vance for calling pregnancy resulting in rape “inconvenient.”
“Make him go through this,” Beshear said in the interview.
“What the hell is this?” Vance said, sharing the clip on X. “Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?! What a disgusting person,” Vance said.
Beshear was asked to clarify his comments by Andrea Mitchell during MSNBC Reports. Beshears says Vance is trying to “Make himself the victim.”
