Former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump hit TRUTH Social to thank his loyal supporters for the “love and spirit” they showed during his indictment this week.
“I want to thank all of the thousands of people in Miami – great place – for showing up at the courthouse and doing it in such an elegant manner, showing respect, because you recognized that that this was a false and fraudulent indictment of me by corrupt people,” he said in a video posted to TRUTH Social. “To see the love and just the spirit was incredible. It was an incredible thing to witness. And the Hispanic community – Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua – so much and so many so many people.”
“I just want to thank everybody. It was heartwarming to watch it. The love, the total love and the spirit. So again to Miami and to all of the people in Miami… thank you very much for being there,” he concluded.
From Just The News:
Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 charges earlier this week in connection with special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into his alleged mishandling of classified documents. He has insisted he retained the authority to declassify and possess the materials in question, pointing to an interpretation of the Presidential Records Act supporting the claim and the Clinton socks court case that determined presidents enjoy sweeping authority to declassify and dispose of documents.
