The Adventures of Clueless Joe.
Former President Joe Biden returned to the campaign stage Saturday to attack President Trump and defend his own record — but the event ended with another awkward moment as the 83-year-old appeared to need help figuring out how to leave the stage.
Speaking at the Maryland Democratic Party’s Fight Back & Win Summit near Baltimore, Biden accused Trump of pursuing the “deliberate distraction — destruction of NATO” and mocked the president’s planned White House ballroom as a “vanity project.”
After wrapping up with his familiar message that America can overcome its challenges, Biden appeared uncertain about which direction to exit.
The former president turned to the side of the stage seeking guidance, pointed in two different directions as if asking where to go, then, after receiving assistance, walked off with his back to the audience.
The appearance marked one of Biden’s highest-profile speeches since ending his 2024 reelection bid after his widely criticized debate performance against Trump prompted fellow Democrats to pressure him to step aside.
