CRENSHAW: DHS Chief Mayorkas Should Be Impeached for ‘Dereliction of Duty’ at the Border

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.13.21

Congressman Dan Crenshaw blasted the Biden administration’s disastrous border policy during an interview with Fox News Tuesday; saying DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached for “dereliction of duty.”

“I think there’s very clear examples of a deliberate dereliction of constitutional duty on the part of the secretary of Homeland Security — to protect this country. It actually is very little to do with the cancelation of the border wall contracts. I think that’s infuriating, but the real dereliction of duty is simply a refusal to actually enforce the laws of our country,” said the Republican.

“Those laws might be our asylum process laws, those laws might be internal enforcement inside where deportations are necessary, those laws might be simply crossing the border illegally. And the only action that DHS has taken has been against those border agents trying to do their job on horseback, trying to stop people from rushing the border. So it’s — this is very deliberate since the intent matters when you’re accusing somebody of what is effectively a crime. And in this case, I think it deserves impeachment. Absolutely,” he added.

BIDEN’S BORDER: DHS Boss Confirms 12,400 Haitians Released into the USA This Month

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.27.21

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told Fox News Sunday at least 12,000 Haitian migrants have been released into the United States after entering the country near Del Rio, Texas.

“Approximately, I think it’s about 10,000 or so, 12,000,” Mayorkas responded when asked how many are being admitted into the US.

“It could be even higher. The number that are returned could be even higher. What we do is we follow the law as Congress has passed it,” Mayorkas said.

“Those who are in ICE custody are tested, isolated, and quarantined. Those who are expelled under the Title 42 Public Health Authority are returned immediately. They are not placed in immigration court proceedings, and those we do not test, because they are returned immediately,” Mayorkas said.

“We have enforcement guidelines in place that provide the individuals who are recent border crossers who do not show up for their hearings are enforcement priorities and will be removed,” Mayorkas added.

“It is the policy of this administration: we do not agree with the building of the wall,” the DHS Chief said. “The law provides that individuals can make a claim for humanitarian relief. That is actually one of our proudest traditions.”

BLACKOUT: Biden Admin Bans Drones From Showing ‘Out of Control’ Border Bridge in Texas

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.17.21

The White House temporarily blocked the use of drones from documenting the “out of control” crisis taking place along the US-Mexico border Friday, implementing a two-week black-out against media outlets and private citizens.

“We’ve learned that the FAA just implemented a two week TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, meaning we can no longer fly our FOX drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants. FAA says ‘special security reason,’” posted Fox News’ Bill Melugin.

“Our drone is back over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX. Per source, the number of migrants waiting to be processed has now swelled to approx 8,200. It was 4,000 yesterday AM. Doubled in one day. BP overwhelmed, & I’m told situation is ‘out of control,’” posted Melugin yesterday.

The number of migrants crossing the United States border from Mexico continued to surge this summer, with new data from the Department of Homeland Security showing more than 200,000 encounters between immigrants and Federal Agents.

That’s up 317% compared to August 2020.

“The source told Fox that there were 208,887 encounters in August. While it marks the first decrease in migrant encounters seen under the Biden administration, where migrant encounters have been sharply rising for months, it is only a 2% drop over the more than 212,000 encounters in July,” reports Fox News.

“Additionally, the 208,887 number for August represents a 317% increase over last August 2020 which saw 50,014 apprehensions — and a 233% increase over August 2019, where there were 62,707 apprehensions during that year’s border crisis,” adds Fox.

“We have a plan, we are executing our plan and that takes time,” said DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas last month.

“A couple of days ago I was down in Mexico, and I said look, you know, if, if our borders are the first line of defense, we’re going to lose and this is unsustainable,” Mayorkas said. “We can’t continue like this, our people in the field can’t continue and our system isn’t built for it.”
